Hello Jump’In Community! I'm Hunter Cummings, the Recreational Program & Rec Team Director, Coach, and CoFloor Manager at Jump’In Gymnastics & Tumbling. My journey with gymnastics began at the tender age of 3 in Georgia, where I trained until Level 7. My passion for the sport didn't end there; I continued to tumble and cheered through high school.

While I initially pursued a degree in Mass Communications with a focus on Radio and Television Interactive Media from the University of North Alabama, my path took a different turn after the birth of my son, Chanler. I returned to my roots in Stone Mountain, Georgia, and began coaching gymnastics. Starting as a recreational coach at the YMCA, I soon found myself coaching competitive gymnastics in Atlanta.

My life took a significant turn when I met Candi, a fellow gymnastics coach, during my serving job. Inspired by her journey, I joined Jump'In to expand my coaching abilities. I'm grateful to Candi for taking a chance on me and allowing me to prove myself in this role. My dream is to follow in her footsteps and own my own gym someday.

Hattiesburg is a long way from Atlanta, but I've always been more at home in smaller cities. My goal for the gymnastics program is to help it grow while positively impacting the lives of the Pine Belt youth. I want to instill confidence in our talented gymnasts and help them expand their skill set. I believe in fostering a hopeful environment where self-doubt is replaced with self-belief. I'm excited to lead this program to success and uplift all children during practice and competitions, pushing them to exceed their perceived limits.

When I'm not coaching, I enjoy traveling, working out, and writing poems. My greatest passions are being a good mom and coach. I strive to be a role model for both my child and athletes.

Thank you for this opportunity. I look forward to working with your children and becoming an important member of the Jump’In Staff.

With Excitement,
Hunter Cummings
